Since childhood, I have always wanted to share a worthy dream, and find common ground with as many like-minded individuals as myself.
Yoga has given me that opportunity.
I am a Singaporean and I have started my first outreach to build this dream in Kyoto, Japan.
Kyoto, to me, represents many of the attributes of yoga. Founded in history and learning, aspirational in culture and art, and welcoming of nature and humanity. It is a spiritual place. A place to realise our physical needs and our deeper need for spiritual connectivity.
I grew up in a traditional Chinese family with Confucian/Taoist/Buddhist morality and direction. This background made me very comfortable with the old teachings of the EAST. The search for better health, spiritual growth and community, always a driving force in me.
It was only during my training to become a certified Yoga teacher that I truly became committed. My teachers, were an integral part in my growth. They were inspirational and so were my classmates then. Together, we experienced peace and harmony, within and amongst ourselves, and with nature.
The class was a very international group, and yet, we were all so like-minded and committed to Yoga. It made me feel that we, human beings, are truly connected. We can find something beyond our comfort zone, culturally alien even, and embrace it with our heart and soul. Yoga and its practitioners prove this.
I want to share and develop this all-embracing experience with as many people as possible. This is my dream. To create a community of connection and openness through our sharing of YOGA experiences and practices. To experience ONE-ness, and to allow me to invite you to ONE YOGA.
